Design and installation of a large-scale window glazing system for Art Galleries carried out for City Building. The glazing solution was developed to support a modern gallery environment, providing high levels of light, clarity and thermal performance while meeting the technical requirements of the building. The window glazing system was designed to integrate seamlessly with the architectural layout, supporting both visual presentation and long-term durability.
We supplied and installed a large planar window glazing system using high-performance double-glazed units. The system was engineered to accommodate large glass panels while maintaining strength, precision and clean sightlines.
Due to the scale and complexity of the installation, specialist robotics were used to safely handle and position the large glass units. This allowed for accurate placement of the window glazing system while minimising risk and ensuring a high-quality finish. All works were carried out in line with site requirements and safety standards.
The size and weight of the glazing presented a significant challenge. By using robotic installation equipment, the window glazing system could be positioned with precision, ensuring safety and consistency throughout the installation.
The double-glazed units were selected to deliver excellent thermal and acoustic performance while maintaining clear, uninterrupted views suited to an art gallery environment.
